Shonali Chakravarty joins United Breweries to lead communications & CSR

Shonali Chakravarty has joined United Breweries Limited (UBL), a HEINEKEN Company, to lead Communications, Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for the business in India. The appointment follows Chakravarty's six-year stint at Lenovo, where she most recently led Enterprise Communications across Asia Pacific. Her new role at UBL brings Communications, Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) together under a single leadership mandate, extending her remit beyond communications into areas increasingly central to business strategy. The move reflects a broader shift in how leading companies are defining senior communications roles. Communications leaders are increasingly being entrusted not only with reputation and executive communications, but also with sustainability, social impact, stakeholder engagement and corporate citizenship. These are areas that have a direct bearing on business resilience, licence to operate and long-term value creation. The scale of the mandate at UBL reflects that convergence. As India's largest beer company, UBL has a presence across 13 states, with 19 owned and 17 contract breweries, giving its Sustainability and CSR agenda an extensive operational and social footprint across 20+ projects. The company has an overall manufacturing capacity of approximately 24 million hectolitres and a value chain that, according to a recently released socio-economic impact study by Steward Redqueen, contributes nearly ?43,000 crore to the Indian economy and supports around 2.95 lakh jobs and livelihoods across agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, retail, hospitality and tourism. With 93% of its inputs sourced locally, UBL's sustainability agenda spans sustainable agriculture, water stewardship, responsible sourcing and community development, alongside the company's wider environmental and social commitments. The breadth of this agenda makes the integration of Communications, Sustainability and CSR a particularly significant enterprise mandate.UBL is part of HEINEKEN, one of the world's largest brewing companies, with a market valuation of over €40 billion and operations across more than 70 countries. UBL, a listed company on Indian stock exchanges with a market capitalisation of over ?35,000 crore, owns some of India's most iconic beer brands, including Kingfisher, Kingfisher Ultra, Heineken, Heineken Silver and Amstel Grande. For Chakravarty, the appointment builds on a career spanning high-growth, highly scrutinised and complex businesses. Prior to Lenovo, she held senior communications roles at Uber and OYO, where public policy, regulatory engagement, stakeholder management, executive communications and corporate reputation were closely intertwined with business strategy. Her move is emblematic of a larger evolution in the communications profession: leadership is increasingly being measured not simply by the geography of a role, but by the breadth of business functions and enterprise outcomes it influences. By bringing Communications, Sustainability and CSR together, UBL's mandate places Chakravarty at the intersection of reputation, responsible business, stakeholder trust and corporate impact. As sustainability and corporate citizenship move closer to the core of business strategy, the role of communications leaders is evolving with them. From shaping how companies tell their stories to helping shape the story of the business itself.

"Bringing Limbik's team and technology on board at Burson lets us build solutions faster for our clients and own our future technology roadmap. This work isn’t a separate service line item anymore. It activated a model for how real audiences around the world respond to information. At Limbik, we set out to build the AI infrastructure that the world's most influential agency runs on and the intelligence behind how it shapes and protects reputation at scale. Burson understood that before anyone else, and this is what setting the standard looks like.”“With this acquisition, Burson continues building a standing innovation arm within our walls, designed to continuously generate, test and integrate new AI products across every practice, every geography and the entire communications and creative workflow," said duBrowa. "This is how we set the agenda for the industry - not by adapting to how AI changes communications but pioneering and proving what that change looks like.”

The phantom load of PR: The hidden cost of being busy

Authored by : Hardik Desai Sr. Vice President, Adfactors PR“We don’t have the bandwidth.”It is one of the most familiar statements in the communications profession. I have heard it throughout my career, and I have said it myself. There are, of course, moments when it is entirely justified. The pace of communication has accelerated; expectations have expanded and the demands on PR professionals have never been greater. But after nearly two decades in the profession, I have started to question whether bandwidth is always a capacity problem.Sometimes, I suspect, it is a focus problem. There is a useful concept in energy management called Phantom Load. An appliance can appear to be switched off and still consume electricity while remaining connected to the power supply. One device makes little difference. Multiply it across a household and the invisible consumption becomes significant.I believe communication has its own Phantom Load.It is the time, attention and intellectual energy consumed by activity that may be legitimate but does not necessarily create proportionate value. And this is where the conversation becomes uncomfortable. Our profession has become exceptionally good at counting activity. We count coverage, impressions, reach, media interactions, campaigns, deliverables and hit ratios. These metrics have a role. They help us understand performance. But there is a danger when what is easiest to count becomes what we value most.A high volume of coverage does not necessarily mean we influenced the conversation that mattered.A strong hit ratio does not necessarily mean we focused on the most consequential opportunities. And a large team working on an account does not necessarily mean the client is receiving better counsel.I have been in meetings with eight or ten people where, in hindsight, two or three could have had the conversation and reached the same outcome. There is nothing inherently wrong with a large meeting. Sometimes multiple perspectives are essential. But ten people spending an hour in a room is ten hours of organisational capacity. The question is simple: what did those additional hours create? The same question applies to seniority. There are important meetings, critical discussions, crisis situations, business opportunities etc. where the presence of a senior communication professional can materially change the quality of the engagement. There are senior editor engagement programmes where relationships are strengthened precisely because senior people invest their time. But there are also occasions when a senior person is present simply because seniority is expected to be visible. That distinction matters.A senior professional spending half a day at a press conference or two days at a media FAM is not merely spending few hours or days. They are making a choice about where their experience, judgement and relationships are best deployed.Perhaps that time could have been spent advising a CEO, understanding a client's business challenge, developing a younger professional, building a strategic relationship or identifying a reputation risk before it became a problem. This is not an argument against activity. It is an argument for proportionality. The same applies to measurement. For years, the industry has been under pressure to demonstrate value, yet we often continue to present the most visible outputs as evidence of impact. The conversation is slowly changing, with growing emphasis on connecting communication measurement to business objectives and outcomes. The more important question is therefore not how much did we do?It is:What changed because we did it?That is a very different question. It requires us to think beyond volume and towards relevance. Beyond activity and towards influence. Beyond reporting what happened and towards understanding what it meant.I believe this matters particularly for the next generation of PR professionals.Young professionals entering the industry today will work in an environment where AI can increasingly automate production, reporting and routine execution. Their advantage will not come from simply being able to do more work.It will come from knowing which work deserves to be done. That requires judgement. And judgement develops when people have the space to think, question, understand context and engage with the business behind the communication challenge. It also places a responsibility on senior professionals. As we become more experienced, our value should not be measured by how many meetings we attend or how many pieces of work we personally review. It should increasingly be measured by the quality of the decisions we influence and the capability we build around us.I have not always got this right myself. There have been meetings I did not need to attend, work I could have delegated and operational issues I could have stepped away from. Experience teaches you that being involved can feel like being useful. They are not always the same thing.Leadership is ultimately about leverage. This is why I think the Phantom Load of PR deserves a wider conversation—not as a criticism of how our industry operates, but as a question about how we want the profession to evolve. For HR leaders, it raises questions about how jobs are designed and whether talented people have enough space for meaningful and developmental work. For senior practitioners, it raises questions about where experience creates the greatest value. For younger professionals, it offers an important lesson: being busy is not the same as being valuable. And for all of us, it raises a more fundamental question about what we choose to reward.Do we reward volume or relevance?Participation or contribution?Activity or impact?More people or the right people?More work or better thinking? After nearly 20 years in communication, I have become convinced that our most valuable resource is not simply time.It is focused attention. So perhaps the next time we say, “We don’t have the bandwidth,” the first question should not be “Who else do we need?”It should be:“Where is our bandwidth going?”And then the question that matters even more:“Is that where it creates the most value?”Because the future of communication will not be defined by how much activity we can generate. It will be defined by the quality of attention we bring to the things that matter. And perhaps the most strategic thing we can do with our bandwidth is not to find more of it.It is to stop wasting the bandwidth we already have.DISCLAIMER: The views expressed are solely of the author and theprpost.com does not necessarily subscribe to it.

PR Companion wins PR mandate for digiCloud Solutions

PR Companion, the communications arm of Ethane Web Technologies, has been appointed as the public relations partner of digiCloud Solutions, a Salesforce Select Partner headquartered in Pune. The engagement covers media relations, executive positioning, and thought leadership for digiCloud's founders and leadership team, with the goal of building the company’s profile across business and technology publications as it expands its enterprise CRM and agentic AI capabilities.Lalit Sharma, Founder & CEO of PR Companion and Ethane Web Technologies, said the mandate reflects the agency's push into deeper enterprise technology accounts. “A lot of B2B technology companies in India are doing genuinely strong work but stay invisible outside their own client base. digiCloud falls into that category. Over 200 implementations and 120-plus enterprise clients is not a small achievement, yet very little of that has been told publicly. We are not looking to manufacture a story here. There is enough substance in what digiCloud has built that our job is really to get it in front of the right editors and readers.”Abhijeet Kate, Co-founder and Principal Consultant at digiCloud Solutions, pointed to the gap between what vendors promise on AI and what mid-market enterprises are actually able to deploy. “Most of the conversation around agentic AI right now is still aspirational. On the ground, with the manufacturing and retail clients we work with, adoption looks very different from the pitch decks. We have some real examples worth talking about, including deployments that go well beyond a typical dashboard, and we have not done a good enough job putting that in front of the industry. This partnership is about fixing that gap.”PR Companion continues to expand its client base across sectors and is building out its team to offer a fuller range of communications services, from media relations and thought leadership to reputation management and digital PR.

The Grossman Group launches CCO advisory for the AI era

Leadership and communications consultancy The Grossman Group has introduced a new advisory practice aimed at helping chief communications officers (CCOs) modernise their communications functions as the role becomes increasingly strategic amid rapid advances in AI and enterprise transformation. The new CCO Advisory is designed to support communications leaders facing rising expectations around AI adoption, employee experience, organisational change and stakeholder engagement. The firm said that while the responsibilities of CCOs have expanded significantly in recent years, many communications teams continue to operate with outdated structures, systems and measurement frameworks. The advisory service combines organisational diagnostics, strategic consulting, data-driven insights and ongoing executive support. Each engagement begins with The Grossman Group's proprietary Modernization Roadmap, an assessment framework that evaluates communications operations across seven critical areas: strategy, structure, systems, DNA, savvy, staff and skills. The assessment is intended to identify capability gaps, prioritise investments and align communications functions more closely with broader business objectives."The CCO role has elevated faster than the function has been equipped to handle it," said David Grossman, Founder and CEO of The Grossman Group. "Most CCOs know modernisation is the work. Few have a framework for sequencing it. We created The CCO Advisory to help close that gap."The Chicago-based consultancy said the new practice builds on its expertise in leadership communications, organisational culture, employee engagement and change management, and will be available to communications leaders across a range of industries. As communications leaders take on broader responsibilities spanning reputation management, internal communications, AI governance and business transformation, advisory services focused on modernising the communications function are becoming an increasingly important area of investment for enterprises.

The UAE has a vibrant corp comm framework, says study

A new study by The PR Academy MENA in Dubai confirms that the UAE has established a pioneering corporate communications framework for crisis management, built on preparedness, a proactive approach, and unified messaging. The study finds that this corporate communications model has empowered the country to transform challenges into opportunities, strengthen public trust, and reinforce the UAE's positive reputation and that of its institutions. The study revealed that corporate communications in the UAE have evolved beyond their traditional role of responding to crises to become a strategic function that shapes the media narrative through transparency, timely responses, and delivering accurate information. It found that 71% of organisations consider rapid response to be the most critical factor in containing crises, while 78% identified misinformation as the greatest communications challenge. In addition, 73% of respondents reported that their organisations had been exposed to misleading content over the past two years, underscoring the importance of having a robust corporate communications system capable of early detection and immediate intervention. The findings also showed that 84% of organisations rely on advanced media monitoring tools, while 62% use data analytics to support communications decision-making. Meanwhile, 92% confirmed that they utilise artificial intelligence technologies for content creation and analysis, thereby significantly enhancing communications professionals' ability to make informed, data-driven decisions.Commenting on the findings, Reem Masswadeh, (pictured), Founder of The PR Academy MENA, said: "The UAE’s corporate communications model in times of crisis reflects a significant transformation in media narrative management. Government entities have successfully shifted from reactive communications to proactively shaping professional narratives that strengthen public trust, support stability, and effectively counter misinformation."She added: "The UAE’s corporate communications ecosystem has demonstrated remarkable efficiency in managing major crises and national events, including the COVID-19 pandemic and Expo 2020 Dubai. Despite early international media coverage that questioned the country's ability to host the event, relevant authorities adopted a proactive communications strategy by amplifying international engagement, highlighting the nation's readiness, and showcasing institutional integration. This approach successfully reshaped the global narrative, reinforced confidence, and transformed challenges into an opportunity to demonstrate the UAE’s outstanding capability in delivering world-class events with professionalism and excellence."The study also revealed that the UAE’s advanced communications model is underpinned by a proactive strategy that combines transparency, rapid response, and integrated messaging, using sophisticated digital tools for media monitoring, data analysis, and content creation. This integrated approach has generated extensive media visibility and sustainable impact, further enhancing the confidence of both the public and institutional stakeholders. The research was based on a comprehensive analysis of media monitoring data gathered through specialised platforms, including Cision, alongside a survey of communications and media professionals from government and private sector organisations. The findings provide valuable insights into media coverage trends and the effectiveness of communication strategies during crises. An Advanced Communications ApproachThe study emphasised that the UAE’s success in managing numerous crises is the outcome of a comprehensive strategic vision that positions corporate communications as a leadership function influencing decision-making and reputation management. It highlighted that adopting a proactive approach founded on transparency and integrated messaging, supported by investment in advanced technologies and the development of specialised communications talent, has enabled institutions to respond to challenges with agility and efficiency, minimise their impact, and transform them into opportunities to strengthen trust at both the national and international levels. This reflects the UAE’s ability to leverage corporate communications as a vital strategic asset that supports stability and enhances national competitiveness. At the same time, it reinforces that sustaining this success will depend on advancing communications capabilities and keeping pace with the rapidly evolving global media landscape.Sustaining Media PresenceThe findings also noted that the UAE’s media performance indicators indicate a well-structured corporate communications ecosystem built on clear policies that ensure consistent messaging and sustained media engagement. This is complemented by the use of advanced monitoring and analytical tools that strengthen organisations' ability to respond swiftly to emerging developments. The study concluded that the UAE’s corporate communications experience represents a leading model founded on partnership, integration, and innovation, combining efficiency, agility, and preparedness. It reaffirms the strategic role of communications as a cornerstone of effective crisis management, reputation-building, and advancing sustainable development."The current landscape requires sustained investment in communications as a strategic partner in reputation building and trust enhancement. This can be achieved by developing integrated communications strategies based on early monitoring and rapid response, while creating compelling media narratives that showcase the UAE’s achievements and strengthen its positive image both locally and internationally," Reem Masswadeh concluded.

The changing role of PR in building modern brands

Public relations has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past decade. Once viewed primarily as a function responsible for securing media coverage, PR has evolved into a strategic business discipline that helps shape reputation, influence perception and support sustainable business growth. In today's highly connected marketplace, every interaction contributes to how a brand is perceived. As a result, communications professionals are increasingly involved in business conversations that extend beyond marketing to include growth, leadership visibility, stakeholder engagement and reputation management.Reputation Is a Competitive AdvantageIn an era where news travels instantly and opinions are formed within seconds, reputation has become one of an organisation's strongest competitive advantages. Customers, investors, employees and partners are no longer influenced only by products or servicesthey also evaluate a company's values, transparency and purpose. Strategic PR helps organisations communicate consistently, build trust and reinforce credibility over time, making reputation a long-term business asset rather than a short-term campaign objective. The Rise of Founder-Led BrandingOne of the biggest shifts in modern communications is the growing importance of founder visibility. Audiences increasingly connect with the people behind a brand. Authentic leadership stories, informed industry opinions and consistent executive communication help humanise organisations and strengthen stakeholder confidence. Founder branding is no longer limited to interviews; it includes thought leadership, speaking engagements, LinkedIn, podcasts and meaningful participation in industry conversations.Integrated Communications MatterToday's communications ecosystem extends far beyond traditional media. A strong earned-media story can spark discussions across digital platforms, newsletters, podcasts, communities and industry events. The most successful brands ensure that their messaging remains consistent across owned, earned and shared channels, creating a unified narrative that audiences recognise and trust.Technology Is Changing How We WorkArtificial intelligence and digital tools have improved research, media monitoring and content development, enabling PR professionals to work more efficiently. However, while technology supports execution, it cannot replace strategic judgement, creativity or trusted media relationships. Human insight remains essential for crafting compelling narratives and managing reputation during both opportunities and challenges.Quality Over QuantitySuccess in PR is no longer measured by the sheer number of stories published. Organisations today are placing greater emphasis on relevance, message pull-through and the influence of the platforms where they appear. A well-placed story that reaches the right stakeholders and supports business objectives often creates greater impact than multiple mentions without strategic value.PR as a Continuous FunctionCommunications has shifted from being campaign-led to becoming an always-on business function. Brands that consistently share innovations, milestones, customer stories and expert insights remain visible and credible throughout the year. This ongoing approach helps organisations stay relevant, build stronger stakeholder relationships and respond effectively to changing market dynamics. For both brands and agencies, the future of PR lies in collaboration, strategic thinking and long-term value creation. Communications should be viewed as an investment in trust rather than simply a tool for publicity. As businesses continue to evolve, PR will play an even greater role in strengthening reputation, supporting leadership positioning and fostering meaningful engagement. Modern public relations is no longer just about earning headlines it is about creating lasting confidence in a brand through authentic and consistent communication

Thinkerbell unveils AI brand visibility tool for the ‘Zero-Click’ Era

Australian creative agency Thinkerbell has introduced Hi-Vis, a new service designed to help brands measure and improve how they are interpreted and recommended by artificial intelligence platforms. The offering is aimed at addressing the growing influence of AI-powered search and recommendation tools, where consumers increasingly ask AI assistants what to buy, where to travel or which brands to trust—often making decisions before visiting traditional search results or websites.According to Thinkerbell, Hi-Vis evaluates a brand's AI presence across three core areas. Fuel measures the information a brand publishes on its own channels, Fluency assesses how easily AI systems can discover and understand that information, while Fame examines how the brand is discussed by third-party sources such as media outlets, communities and other independent platforms. The assessment generates a single Hi-Vis Score, allowing businesses to compare their AI visibility with competing brands across major AI ecosystems.Dan Monheit, Chief CX Thinker at Thinkerbell, said AI has become a new decision-maker in the customer journey, making it increasingly important for brands to build credibility beyond their owned channels. He noted that AI models tend to favour brands that are widely recognised, consistently discussed and supported by reliable third-party information rather than relying solely on marketing claims.Chief Tinker Tom Wenborn added that many businesses mistakenly view AI optimisation as a purely technical exercise. Instead, he argued that AI systems place greater weight on genuine reputation, media coverage and public conversation, making authentic brand recognition more valuable than technical optimisation alone. With Hi-Vis, Thinkerbell aims to help marketers understand how AI platforms perceive their brands and identify opportunities to strengthen visibility as AI-driven discovery continues to reshape digital marketing.(Source: telummedia.com)

Why the future of Public Relations depends on credibility, ethics and trust

There is perhaps no time in the history of the public relations profession which defines it as well as this present time. The world we live in is such that news travels around the globe in seconds, artificial intelligence has become capable of writing credible articles, and it takes less than a minute to spread a false story that shapes public opinion before anything else gets a chance to do so. The job of Public Relations has changed its definition from raising awareness to maintaining credibility. For many years, the performance of a communication strategy could be evaluated in terms of its media coverage, impression and reach. While those measures still matter a lot, they can no longer serve as the sole criteria for measuring the value of PR. Instead, businesses are now being assessed by something much more important their trustworthiness.Trust Is the New Brand CurrencyReputations are not made by individual campaigns that succeed or become popular on social media. They are established by each and every engagement that the company makes with its various stakeholders. Each and every press release, leadership interviews, employee communications, and responses to customers are part of a greater story that helps define credibility of the organisation. The above transformation has brought PR to the next level where it has become more of a business partner than just another function within the organisation. PR professionals are now required to advise the organisation's management about the expectations of various stakeholders and any possible reputation risks for the firm, along with any potential crisis management situations.AI Has the Ability to Fast-track PR Processes, But Human Decisions Build ReputationThere is no doubt that AI has revolutionized communication. Whether in media monitoring and sentiment analysis, content research or campaign optimization, the use of AI has greatly improved efficiency and speed in various PR processes.Credibility cannot be automated. While AI can write a press release, it cannot establish what the right tone to adopt is during a challenging situation. While it can help you analyze the discussion, it cannot take the place of ethical judgment and empathy or the ability to forge relationships with journalists and the community. In the future, successful communicators will be those that adopt the use of technology but do not lose their credibility in the process. The Super Power That PR Professionals Need in the Present EraAmongst all the problems that the industry is currently facing, one problem stands out: misinformation. The era of deep fakes and fake visuals have made it really hard for the audience to differentiate between truth and lies. Credibility then becomes the competitive edge of any brand. For communications professionals, it would mean going from telling stories to being a custodian of the truth. Everything needs to be verified and everything has to be true. Speed is essential but accuracy is even more important. A reputation that takes years to build up can be destroyed within minutes through unverified communication.A New Strategy For The Next Generation of PR ProfessionalsThere is a lot of hope for the young professionals of the next generation who want to become communications professionals. Not anymore would technical skills make a person successful in this profession. There are other things required too.The ideal PR practitioners will be those who know their industry as much as they know the media. They will analyze data without forgetting the feelings of people, use artificial intelligence ethically while being responsible for it, and cultivate trust-based relations. Most importantly, they will realize that good communication is not about controlling stories good communication is about engaging in meaningful dialogues that foster trust. The Future of PR Is Based on Authenticity As we mark World PR Day, it is good to reflect on how the PR industry has come a long way. PR is no longer about how loud the message of a brand is, but about how authentic the brand is in its communication. When misinformation can travel across cyberspace with the greatest of ease, authenticity is not a luxury—It is essential. The future lies in favor of those who prefer transparency over hype, dialogue over monologue, and trust over visibility. For a professional in Public Relations, it is not only a task but also an opportunity. Since the world is already flooded with creators of content, the only thing that truly matters is credibility. And it is what makes modern Public Relations so effective. This version was crafted in a style of thought leadership articles suitable for Adgully and allows positioning yourself as a professional in the field of communications with the guidance for young PR practitioners.

Trust in CEOs remains low in the US: Burson survey

Confidence in corporate leaders remains weak in the United States, with crisis management, workplace transparency and consistency emerging as key drivers of corporate reputation, according to a new study by global communications firm Burson. The inaugural Burson Pulse survey, conducted in April among 1,601 U.S. adults, found that only 19% of respondents expressed confidence in CEOs, while 18% said they trusted large corporations—levels comparable to public confidence in the U.S. Congress. The research also found that trust can erode in different ways. Nearly half (48%) of respondents said their confidence in a company had faded gradually over time without a defining incident, while 52% said a single event had caused them to lose trust instantly. The findings come amid growing economic uncertainty. Around 67% of respondents believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, while 81% cited the rising cost of living and inflation as major concerns. Economic anxiety has also influenced consumer behaviour, with 61% saying they are saving more and paying closer attention to how companies conduct themselves. Meanwhile, 81% believe political dysfunction in Washington is making it more difficult for businesses to plan, invest and operate effectively. The survey also highlighted widespread scepticism toward corporate leadership. Nearly seven in ten respondents (69%) believe CEOs prioritise their personal brands over their companies' missions, while 89% feel influential individuals often avoid consequences for actions that would cost ordinary employees their jobs.Corporate responses during crises play a crucial role in shaping public perception. About 87% of respondents said a company's handling of a crisis reveals more about its values than its behaviour during normal times. However, 80% believe most organisations rely on public relations spin instead of genuine transparency when responding to crises. Nearly half (46%) said they had boycotted a company because of a single incident. The study also revealed a contrast between employee confidence in their workplaces and perceptions of artificial intelligence (AI) governance. Among employed respondents, 92% expressed confidence in their employer and 91% viewed their workplace culture positively. However, only 30% strongly agreed that their employer was transparent about AI's potential impact on jobs, while 78% said AI is advancing faster than businesses and governments can manage responsibly. On corporate advocacy, respondents distinguished between issues affecting employees and broader political debates. While 86% said companies should speak out when public policies negatively affect employees or communities, 71% expressed greater confidence in leaders who avoid political controversies. Additionally, 76% said they lose respect for CEOs who change their public positions in response to external pressure. The online survey was conducted between April 22 and April 30, 2026, among 1,601 U.S. adults aged 18 and above, including an oversample of employed Americans aged 21 to 55. Burson said it plans to conduct a second wave of the research following the U.S. midterm elections.
