Communications industry veteran Bhaskar Majumdar passed away on Thursday morning following a prolonged illness. He was 25-year veteran of the communications and reputation management industry, with experience across leading Indian and global organisations.Majumdar had held senior communications roles at Reliance Industries, where he served as General Manager, Corporate Communications, and at ESPN Star Sports as Manager, Corporate Communications. His agency experience included APCO Worldwide, Genesis PR, Vaishnavi Corporate Communications and Adfactors PR.Over the years, Majumdar was also associated with management forums, industry award platforms and juries. His work received recognition across platforms including the Davos Digital PR Awards, Campaign Asia Awards, SABRE Asia and eLets India Brand Awards.He was named among exchange4media's Top 100 Influential Game Changers in PR & Corporate Communications for five consecutive years from 2020 to 2024.Majumdar was also known for mentoring young communications professionals and had lectured at institutes including the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), India Today Institute, GGSIP University and the Delhi School of Communication.His passing has been met with condolences from colleagues and friends across the communications industry.
