Global technology major Lenovo has appointed Kiran Balasubramanian as its new Head of Communications for India.Balasubramanian took to LinkedIn to announce his new role, which encompasses the brand's external communications, internal communications, and analyst relations mandates. He takes over the role following the elevation of Shirley Coses Dsilva to Asia Pacific Commercial Communications Lead at Lenovo.In his new capacity, Balasubramanian will work closely with Lenovo’s leadership team to drive and communicate the brand's Hybrid AI roadmap, which spans both personal and enterprise AI solutions. His mandate also includes strengthening brand affinity and strategic positioning across Lenovo’s portfolio, including ThinkPad, IdeaPad, Yoga, Legion and Motorola.Sharing the announcement on LinkedIn, Balasubramanian highlighted that India remains a crucial growth hub for Lenovo, not only in terms of revenue, but also across R&D innovation, manufacturing scale and supply chain capabilities.Balasubramanian brings over 23 years of rich experience across corporate communications, technology public relations and analyst relations. Prior to joining Lenovo, he served as the Director of Communications at DigitalOcean. He also spent six years at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in key PR leadership roles, including Principal – Public Relations and PR Lead for Public Sector & Government (India & South Asia). Earlier in his career, Balasubramanian held senior communications and PR roles at Accenture, Six Degrees PR and Synergy PR.
