Integrated marketing consulting firm, One Source today announced its ‘Happy People Work Harder’ retreat, where the firm’s management reaches out to all clientele, partners, and stakeholders, informing them of the week-long break, for its people, where they get to ‘switch-off-to-switch-on’ with family, or otherwise, during the festive season.

Introduced in 2018, Happy People Work Harder (HPWH) focuses on the three health formats that where One Source believes people actually create wealth - financial health, mental health, and physical health. A people-first initiative, HPWH ensures a conducive approach to work by placing employee well-being, personal fulfilment and sustainable performance at the heart of the workplace culture. It is towards financial-wealth creation, that One Source has done an average of 23.38% in average organisation-wide appraisals, since inception, down from 24.71%, the organisational average up until the last fiscal. According to EY's Future of Pay report 2026, annual salary increments in the Media & Entertainment & Professional Services sectors were approximately 9.0% and 10.0% in 2024, 8.7% and 9.6% in 2025, and projected at 8.6% and 9.4% respectively in April, 2026.

Mental health has been focal at One Source, over the last 10-odd years, with initiatives such as Happy People Work Harder (HPWH), mandatory block leaves every six-months, and more, ensuring the firm’s top asset, it’s people across public relations, social media marketing, digital marketing, and advertising, receive adequate switch off, in order to perform at what Sandeep Rao, the Managing Director, calls ’80:120’.

“At One Source, HPWH gives our people back to our most important stakeholders at One Source, the families of our people. We’d be fools to say people work for only fame or firms; they work first and foremost for their families, and it is because One Source align firmly with that, that we have grown strength-to-strength in business outcome consulting, this last decade. We have no interest in being the biggest, if we can be the best concurrent with the happiest”, shares Sandeep Rao, Managing Director, One Source, adding, “It is far smarter to put in 80% time and effort to achieve 120% results, than the unrealistic burning-out grind 120% to achieve 100% yearlong”.

In terms of physical health, the firm brought the erstwhile (2014-16) Director of Sports & Exercise, Ashoka University, who used to be (2014-17) the Principal Running Technical Consultant & Head Coach for Adidas India, to manage its people’s fitness regime.

Through HPWH, One Source aims to encourage a workplace culture where rest is recognised as an important contributor to long-term productivity rather than a competing priority. Alongside HPWH, One Source has maintained several initiatives such as hiring by its internal metric of Potential-Capability-Willingness or PCW, training via its metrics of Glow-Grow-Go based on the old proverb ‘First deserve, then desire’, welfare measured by Financial Health-Mental Health-Physical Health, for close on a decade, now.
