Anjali D’Mello has joined Mastercard as Director, ESEA Communications, taking charge of communications across East and Southeast Asia.D’Mello announced the appointment on LinkedIn, stating that her new role will involve building connections across the region’s markets and working with Mastercard’s leadership team to shape the communications narrative and direction for ESEA.Prior to Mastercard, D’Mello spent over five years at Nium, where she held several communications and public relations roles. Most recently, she served as Global Head of PR & Communications from February 2025 to July 2026. Before that, she was Head of PR for APAC, Middle East & Africa from August 2023 to April 2025, and previously served as Head of PR at Instarem and Nium.D’Mello began her tenure at Instarem in August 2021 as Head of PR & Social before moving into broader communications responsibilities within Nium.Earlier in her career, she held senior communications and marketing roles at Circles.Life, TenX and Lazada Group in Singapore. At Lazada, she worked across branding, social and communications, including brand positioning, integrated campaigns, PR, media, events and influencer engagement.Her earlier experience also includes roles at Social@Ogilvy, Tickled Media, Cosmopolitan TV and IndiaSe Media, along with editorial internships at WGSN and ACP Magazines.
