Edelman appoints Kenny Gold as first Global Chief Creator Officer

Edelman has appointed Kenny Gold as its first Global Chief Creator Officer, underscoring the communications firm's growing investment in creator marketing as brands increasingly turn to influencers and digital creators to engage audiences.Gold joins from Deloitte Digital, where he served as Managing Director and Head of Social and Creator. In his new role, he will report to Tristan Roy, President of Integrated Solutions and Delivery, and lead Edelman Creator globally. He will also oversee efforts to further integrate creator marketing with the firm's social, paid media and performance marketing capabilities.The newly created position reflects the expanding role of creators in shaping consumer behaviour and online conversations. Edelman said it currently employs around 200 creator specialists worldwide.During his tenure at Deloitte Digital, Gold built and scaled the firm's social and creator practice, working with clients across both consumer and B2B sectors. Prior to that, he led social media initiatives at Grey Group, where he played a key role in developing Procter & Gamble's widely recognised #DistanceDance campaign with TikTok creator Charli D’Amelio during the Covid-19 pandemic.Gold has also contributed to industry research, co-authoring Deloitte's Creator Economy in 3D study and its annual State of Social report. He is a frequent speaker at major industry events, including Cannes Lions, SXSW and CES.Tristan Roy said: “Kenny has built and scaled creator businesses at the highest level.
