Independent communications agency One Plus One Communications has appointed Esther Robinson as Director of Government Relations, marking the agency’s expansion into Wellington and the launch of a dedicated government relations practice.According to the agency, the move comes as demand for services in the capital continues to grow. By establishing a presence in Wellington, the firm aims to provide its clients with closer access to the parliamentary precinct and strategic counsel on regulatory and public policy matters.Robinson brings more than a decade of experience in government relations and public affairs across politics, communications and corporate advisory roles. She previously served as a senior political advisor during the Fifth and Sixth Labour Governments.Most recently, she worked with Acumen, where she developed consulting experience in public affairs.Outside her professional work, Robinson co-hosts 3 Gals 1 Beehive, an independent political podcast hosted by former Beehive staffers that offers weekly analysis of developments in New Zealand politics.Commenting on the appointment, Managing Director Kelly Bennett said Robinson’s addition strengthens the agency’s ability to support clients operating in policy-driven environments.In her new role, Robinson will establish and lead the government relations practice, working with new and existing clients across sectors including professional services, finance and technology.
