The total expenditure by these tourists exceeded ?2 lakh crore, and foreign tourists contributed an additional ?10,500 crore to the state's economy, ranking UP as the fifth most visited state in India. The report anticipates additional tax revenue of ?25,000 crore per annum for the state in FY25 due to increased visitors, highlighting the economic potential unlocked by events such as the Pran Pratishta ceremony.This surge in tourism has led to improved physical and digital infrastructure, enhancing accessibility and increasing meaningful engagement with historical sites.
