International SOS has appointed Eastwest Public Relations to strengthen its strategic communications across Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific region, expanding the organisation’s efforts to raise awareness of workplace health, security and resilience.

The appointment followed a competitive pitch and took effect on 1 October 2026. Eastwest PR will work with the company’s regional and global communications teams, providing strategic counsel, media relations and press office support.

The partnership comes as businesses across Asia-Pacific contend with increasing geopolitical uncertainty, health threats and climate-related disruptions that affect employee safety and organisational resilience. International SOS aims to use the engagement to strengthen discussions around employers’ duty of care and the measures needed to protect their workforces.

Founded in Southeast Asia in 1985, International SOS provides health and security risk management services to organisations worldwide. The company is headquartered in London and Singapore, with Asia-Pacific remaining a key region for its operations.

Raymond Lau, partner at Eastwest Public Relations, said organisations could no longer rely on traditional assumptions about business continuity amid geopolitical tensions, economic uncertainty and more frequent disruptions.

He noted that communication had become a strategic function, influencing how employees, clients and regulators assess an organisation’s preparedness during a crisis.

Lau added that the agency would work to increase the visibility of International SOS’s expertise among regional journalists and decision-makers, ensuring its insights reach relevant audiences accurately and at the right time.

Syazlina Haniff, head of marketing and communications, Singapore, at International SOS, said the Asia-Pacific region had remained central to the company’s work for more than four decades.

As employers face increasingly complex challenges, including geopolitical instability, extreme weather and evolving health risks, clear and credible communication is essential to helping business leaders understand their duty of care responsibilities and access appropriate guidance, she said.

The appointment adds Eastwest PR to International SOS’s broader communications network, with the agency expected to work alongside the global team to strengthen the company’s regional profile and communicate its expertise to key stakeholders.
