Singapore-based corporate communications consultancy 8PR Asia has appointed Shirley Wong as Partner, strengthening its capabilities in investor relations, value communications and capital-markets advisory.

Wong brings more than 15 years of experience spanning corporate communications, investor relations and consultancy roles across Asia. She joins 8PR Asia after serving as Head of Strategic Communications at SGX Catalist-listed OUE Healthcare and as Investor Relations Director at SGX Mainboard-listed 17LIVE.

Her previous agency experience includes positions at international communications consultancy Kreab and Singapore-based boutique consultancy Cogent Communications.

In her new role, Wong will advise companies on investor relations and value communications, with a focus on how corporate value and business strategies are communicated to investors and the wider market.

Her responsibilities will also cover cross-border financial and capital-markets communications, including transactions, listings and market-entry initiatives. She will work with listed companies, exchanges, investors and other capital-markets stakeholders to strengthen investor engagement and communications.

The appointment comes as 8PR Asia has been added to the eligible service-provider panel for the Elevate Grant, part of SGX's Value Unlock programme. The initiative supports listed companies seeking to strengthen investor relations and improve how they communicate their value to the market.

Alex Tan, Founder and Partner, 8PR Asia, said Wong's combination of investor-relations expertise and in-house experience would strengthen the consultancy's ability to advise clients on complex communications and capital-markets matters.

“Shirley brings deep investor relations experience, strong strategic judgement and an in-house commercial perspective,” Tan said.

Wong said the growing use of automation in communications was increasing the importance of human judgement, particularly when companies communicate with investors.

“As communications becomes more automated, human judgement becomes the premium layer,” she said. “In investor communications, the goal is not just visibility, but relevance and resonance with the people who shape how a company is understood and valued.”

8PR Asia specialises in investor relations, strategic communications and capital-markets communications, serving companies navigating corporate, financial and investor communications requirements.
