Sunitha Simon joins Corteva Agriscience as Communications Lead, South Asia

Sunitha Simon has joined Corteva Agriscience as Communications Lead for South Asia, marking a move into the agricultural sector after nearly 17 years with Airtel.

Simon announced her new role on LinkedIn, describing the move as a deliberate choice driven by purpose. She said she was proud to be part of an industry focused on innovation and resilience.

Prior to joining Corteva Agriscience, Simon spent more than 16 years at Airtel across corporate, regional and consumer communications roles. Most recently, she served as General Manager and Communications Lead for B2C, a position she held from June 2022.

During her tenure at Airtel, Simon led communications initiatives across consumer segments and worked on national media strategy, leadership communications, brand positioning and stakeholder engagement. Her work included communications around Airtel’s 5G launch, the company’s AI tool and its spam protection solution.

Before this, Simon served as National Communications Lead for Homes and DTH from June 2020 to June 2022. She also held the role of Senior Manager and Communications Head for South and East between June 2018 and June 2020, where she led regional communications and brand initiatives.

Simon joined Airtel in January 2010 as Senior Executive for Corporate Communications and went on to hold several leadership positions within the company.

Earlier in her career, she worked as Regional Communications Director at CFCA and Corporate Communications Manager at Nandan Biomatrix. She began her professional journey in media as a Content Programmer and Radio Jockey with Orange Media.

At Corteva Agriscience, Simon is based in South Asia and is responsible for communications leadership for the region.
