Farah Zuber exits Weber Shandwick amid APAC leadership changes

The PR Post Bureau |

Farah Zuber is stepping down from her role as senior vice president, head of communications and business development, APAC at Weber Shandwick after two years with the agency.

Zuber joined Weber Shandwick in 2024 as vice president and head of communications for the Asia-Pacific region before being elevated to her expanded leadership role in July 2025. In her position, she reported directly to Tyler Kim.

Before joining Weber Shandwick, Zuber served as senior director at Redhill. She has also held communications roles at SPAG, Edelman and Arc Worldwide.

Her departure comes during a period of broader leadership transition across the global communications industry.

Recently, Susan Howe announced plans to retire in September after nearly three decades with Weber Shandwick. She will be succeeded by Karen Pugliese, who is set to take over as CEO from 1 September.

At the same time, reports also indicated that Jim O’Leary will exit the agency to become CEO of Penta.

Separately, Omnicom Public Relations recently unveiled a new regional leadership structure effective 1 July. Under the changes, Joanne Wong will lead APAC operations, while Hugh Taggart and Greg Power will oversee EMEA and Canada respectively.

Taggart previously served as CEO EMEA at Weber Shandwick, while Power led Weber Shandwick Canada as president and CEO. Wong most recently held the role of APAC president at FleishmanHillard.

The new structure will see the regional leaders reporting to Chris Foster as the network looks to strengthen integrated client support across markets and communications disciplines.
