W Communications has promoted Matt Brown, previously managing director, to UK CEO as the agency prepares for further international expansion. Brown joined W Communications from Edelman in January 2025, where he served as vice chair of brand for EMEA, and earlier held a leadership role at advertising agency The Brooklyn Brothers.

As UK CEO, Brown will oversee agency strategy, client service, creative output, commercial performance, and company culture for W’s London operations. He will also continue to manage the agency’s integrated offerings, including digital media buying, earned SEO, out-of-home advertising, and brand strategy.

Under Brown’s leadership, W Communications has added high-profile clients across luxury travel, hospitality, and FMCG sectors. The agency maintains ongoing relationships with global brands such as Adidas, Marriott, Sony, Nobu, Pop Mart, Patron, and Hublot.

Founder Warren Johnson will now focus on the agency’s international growth, building on W’s existing presence in New York, Singapore, the Middle East, and Reykjavik. The agency also recently launched a standalone sports marketing firm, Spike, and appointed a new general manager for the APAC region.

This leadership transition marks the first UK CEO appointment since Frankie Cory’s departure in 2024, signaling W Communications’ ongoing strategic evolution and focus on global expansion.
