Universal Sompo General Insurance Co. Ltd. has appointed Aparna Mehrotra as Assistant Vice President and Strategic Lead – Communications, Public Relations & Social Media.In her new role, Mehrotra will work across communications, public relations and social media, bringing together her experience in PR, brand, marketing and social media.Prior to joining Universal Sompo, Mehrotra spent over four years with SBI General Insurance, where she most recently served as Chief Manager – Corporate Communications. She joined the company as Manager – Corporate Communications in March 2022, moved into the role of Senior Manager in April 2023 and was elevated to Chief Manager in May 2024.Before SBI General Insurance, Mehrotra was with Havas Group India for nearly three years, serving as Senior Manager – Marketing and Communications and Manager – Marketing & Communication.Her earlier experience includes roles at Adfactors PR, MullenLowe Lintas Group and its PR division, GolinOpinion, as well as an internship with Liopinion, the Lintas PR Division.
