Ashley Knapp has joined Thales as Communications Director, Asia, based in Singapore. She announced the appointment on LinkedIn, sharing that she has started a new position with the company in September 2026.In her new role, Knapp’s responsibilities include internal and external communications, crisis communications and related corporate communications functions.Knapp joins Thales after nearly four years at Schneider Electric, where she served as Head of Brand and Corporate Affairs, East Asia, from June 2022 to April 2026. In that role, she led corporate, executive, internal and external communications across 14 countries and worked with a community of around 20 communicators across the region.Her remit at Schneider Electric included reputation management, executive communications, crisis communications, media relations and employee engagement. She also led the company’s Green Impact Gap campaign, which focused on AI, sustainability and Green IT.Before Schneider Electric, Knapp was Senior Vice President at Teneo, where she advised leadership teams on reputation risk, ESG disclosure narratives and stakeholder communications.She previously served as Strategic Communications Advisor as an independent consultant and was Head of Communications, Asia Pacific, at 100 Resilient Cities, an initiative pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation.
