Global hospitality company Hilton has elevated long-standing executive Erica Cary to Vice President, Internal Communications & Community Partnerships. Based in the Washington D.C.-Baltimore area, Cary will lead Hilton’s global internal communications strategy while also overseeing the company’s community initiatives, including efforts to maximise the impact of the Hilton Global Foundation.Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Cary said the new role brings together several areas she has been passionate about throughout her career, including people, purpose, partnerships and communications. She described the role as being about “building connective tissue” by turning purpose into action, partnerships into opportunity and communication into a business enabler.Cary has been with Hilton since 2016 and brings more than a decade of leadership experience across the organisation. She most recently served as Vice President, Global HR Business Partner. Earlier, she held senior roles including Vice President of HR Consulting, Vice President of HR Technology and Services and Senior Director of Digital Product Management.Before joining Hilton, Cary held roles across enterprise portfolio management, digital transformation and technical systems at organisations including Neiman Marcus, RadioShack, Target, IBM and Lockheed Martin.
