Judhajit Basu exits Tata Communications after nearly three years

Judhajit Basu has concluded his tenure as Associate Director, Corporate Communications at Tata Communications, marking the end of a nearly three year stint with the company.Basu joined Tata Communications in November 2023 and was based in Mumbai. During his tenure, he worked across corporate communications, media engagement and storytelling initiatives, collaborating with teams across business units and geographies, as well as PR agencies.Reflecting on his tenure, Basu said it had been an “amazing ride” spanning areas ranging from the ocean floor and cloud to Formula 1. He also expressed gratitude to colleagues, business teams and PR agencies for their support throughout his time at the organisation.His work at Tata Communications included media interviews, bylines, executive op eds, crisis communication, speaker opportunities and other corporate communications initiatives.Prior to joining Tata Communications, Basu served as Director, Brand Content at Harappa, upGrad from March 2022 to October 2023. He has also held editorial roles at Times of India, Web18 & Mobile18, India Today, Fortune India, Cricinfo and The Economic Times.At India Today, Basu worked as a data visualiser and storyboarder of macroeconomic, business and sports data for Newsflicks, while at Fortune India, he was part of the core team involved in launching the Indian edition of the business magazine.Basu began his career at The Economic Times as a Senior Copy Editor in 2005 and subsequently worked with Cricinfo as Senior Sub Editor before moving into broader editorial and communications roles.He has not disclosed his next professional move.
