Hunter promotes Gigi García Russo, Michael Lamp to expanded leadership roles

Hunter has elevated two long-serving executives to key leadership positions, appointing Gigi García Russo as president and Michael Lamp as chief digital & transformation officer.A veteran of the agency for more than 20 years, García Russo will now oversee client relationships, business operations and growth initiatives across the organisation. During her tenure, she has played a significant role in Hunter's transformation from a 30-person agency into a firm of more than 300 employees, while helping expand its capabilities across earned media, influencer marketing, social media, experiential marketing, crisis communications and AI-driven services.Most recently, García Russo helped lead the launch of Bobbie, Hunter's dedicated influencer and talent marketing agency, introduced in 2025. She has also been instrumental in advancing the agency's multicultural initiatives and currently serves on the board of the Hispanic Public Relations Association.Meanwhile, Michael Lamp has been promoted to chief digital & transformation officer after nearly two decades with the agency. Since joining Hunter in 2008, he has helped build its digital practice from a two-person operation into a team of more than 60 specialists.In his expanded role, Lamp will lead Hunter's digital strategy, AI programmes and broader technology transformation efforts. Last year, he spearheaded the launch of Hunter: Hi5, the agency's AI search optimisation offering, and also serves as an adviser to the Ragan Center for AI Strategy.Both executives will continue to report directly to CEO Grace Leong as the agency continues to strengthen its leadership team and expand its capabilities across digital, AI and integrated communications.
