TikTok appoints Jeremy Ng as communications lead for Malaysia

TikTok has appointed Jeremy Ng as communications lead for Malaysia.Ng shared the update on LinkedIn following nearly two years with the company, where he previously served as Southeast Asia senior communications manager for UGC digital literacy and eCommerce.In his new role, Ng will lead communications strategy, corporate narrative and reputation management for TikTok and ByteDance in Malaysia, including brands such as Lark and BytePlus. His responsibilities include overseeing integrated communications initiatives, stakeholder engagement and issues management in the local market.Ng has also been associated with TikTok’s #ThinkTwice digital literacy initiative, which focuses on scam prevention through multilingual educational resources, in-app knowledge hubs, creator-led content and industry dialogues. According to his LinkedIn post, the initiative has expanded into markets including the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam.Before joining TikTok, Ng worked at Boost as assistant manager for public relations and corporate PR. His previous experience also includes roles at Lazada and Archetype.
