Christian Dior appoints Peter Utz as Head of Global PR

Christian Dior is entering a new era under the creative direction of Jonathan Anderson, with significant additions and reorganisations at the senior management level. The luxury fashion house has strengthened its communications team by naming Peter Utz as head of global PR, covering both men's and women’s collections, and overseeing celebrity relations.Utz, who began his career at Dior, brings over 20 years of experience in the luxury sector, with professional stints in France and the United States. He started in 2002 in retail sales at Christian Dior Couture and later joined Prada from 2008 to 2012. Following that, he became head of VIP relations at Saint Laurent before relocating to Los Angeles in 2016 as head of brand marketing at the concept store Maxfield.During his tenure at Saint Laurent, Utz worked closely with Hedi Slimane, the brand’s creative director from 2012 to 2016. He later rejoined Slimane at Celine in 2018, taking responsibility for the couture line, corporate events, strategic client relations, and international events.At Dior, Utz will collaborate with Mathilde Favier, head of women's celebrity relations, and Sam Maouchi, in charge of men’s celebrity relations. He will report directly to Olivier Bialobos, Dior’s head of communications and brand image.In addition to bolstering the communications team, Dior has also strengthened its design leadership. Michela Kalb has been appointed head of haute couture, women's and men's ready-to-wear, women’s footwear, and the babywear collections, marking a notable expansion of the label’s creative and strategic capabilities.
