Corporate and financial communications firm FGS Global has appointed former BBC Director-General Tim Davie as a partner within its Strategy & Reputation practice. The move aims to strengthen the KKR-backed agency's C-suite and board-level advisory capabilities globally.Davie, who served as the 17th Director-General of the BBC from September 2020 to April 2026, brings extensive experience in crisis management, public policy, and corporate restructuring after leading the public broadcaster through years of heightened public and political scrutiny. Prior to his tenure as Director-General, Davie served as Chief Executive of BBC Studios, where he integrated the broadcaster's production and distribution operations to build a unit generating over £1.4 billion in annual revenue."Tim brings a depth of experience that is genuinely rare,” said Faeth Birch, UKMEA CEO at FGS Global. ”He has led one of the world's most complex and scrutinized institutions, navigated some of the most demanding moments in modern public life, and built lasting relationships across the U.K. and international business community.”Before entering public broadcasting as the BBC's Director of Marketing, Communications, and Audiences in 2005, Davie held corporate leadership roles in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, serving as Vice President of Marketing and Finance at PepsiCo Europe following an early career at Procter & Gamble.
