Regional communications consultancy Sandpiper Group has announced three senior promotions as it strengthens its leadership bench for expansion across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
Elizabeth Chu has been promoted to Managing Director, Singapore. In addition to leading the Singapore business, which she has headed since 2024 after serving as Deputy General Manager, Chu takes on an expanded regional mandate as Managing Director, Financial Services.
Kimberley Spear has been promoted to Managing Director, Financial and appointed to the newly created role of Head of Employee Experience. Spear, who spent the last five years as General Manager of Sandpiper's Hong Kong office, will now lead the firm's people and culture strategy as it scales its AI-enabled services and capabilities.
Unice Liu has been elevated to Head of Growth Markets, also a newly created role. Liu will lead Sandpiper's advisory work for organisations entering and expanding across high-growth markets, with a focus on navigating geopolitical risk, regulatory change, reputation management and stakeholder engagement amid growing investment flows between Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
The promotions follow the launch of Sandpiper Financial earlier this year and the appointment of Mokka Mok as Deputy General Manager, Hong Kong.
Emma Smith, CEO, Sandpiper Group, said: “Our success has been built on two pillars: exceptional people and an unwavering focus on delivering results for our clients. As organisations continue to invest in growth across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, they need advisers who combine local insight with regional reach, specialist expertise, and deep stakeholder understanding.”
She added that the promotions reflect the firm’s strategy of building its leadership pipeline internally while strengthening capabilities across its 14-location network.
