HSBC has appointed Harrison Worley as Interim Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Communications for the Middle East, North Africa and Türkiye (MENAT) region, expanding his remit to lead communications for the bank's CIB business while also supporting HSBC Saudi Arabia.
The appointment follows Worley's move to Dubai earlier this year, where he has been serving as Communications Manager, Content and Campaigns for the MENAT region. In his new interim role, he will oversee strategic communications for HSBC's Corporate and Institutional Banking division across one of the lender's fastest-growing markets. His appointment is also reflected in HSBC's official regional media contacts directory.
Worley joined HSBC in Sydney in 2023, initially working within the bank's communications function in Australia before relocating to the UAE to lead regional content and campaign initiatives. Since moving to Dubai, he has supported communications around several of HSBC's flagship regional initiatives, including capital markets, sustainable finance and major client events across the Gulf.
Before joining HSBC, Worley built his career in financial services communications and journalism in Australia. His previous experience includes communications consultancy roles at Honner and FCR, as well as reporting for Financial Standard, where he covered the financial services industry.
The expanded communications role comes as HSBC continues to strengthen its presence across the MENAT region, where Corporate and Institutional Banking remains a strategic growth business. The bank has recently supported several high-profile transactions across the Gulf, including renewable energy financing, debt capital markets and cross-border investment initiatives, while receiving multiple regional accolades at the 2026 Euromoney Awards for Excellence.
