Independent communications agency Adhesive has added Sydney-based UNSW College to its client roster, taking on communications duties for the launch of the institution’s new Applied Degrees offering.

The agency will support the launch across media relations, corporate profiling, event management and influencer engagement, while also bringing artificial intelligence-led optimisation into the communications programme.

Adhesive founder and managing director Mike Maurice said the partnership builds on the agency’s experience in telling stories around skills, employability and the changing nature of work.

He described Applied Degrees as a new approach to higher education that aims to create alternative pathways into careers at a time when skills requirements and employment patterns are rapidly evolving.

The engagement will also draw on Adhesive’s GEO offering, which combines AI intelligence with communications strategy and storytelling.

Maurice said the agency’s approach reflects the shared emphasis of Adhesive and UNSW College on continuous learning and preparing for future changes in the workplace.

The agency will use an integrated, full-channel communications strategy to build awareness of Applied Degrees among its target audiences, including people looking to upskill, career changers and school leavers.

The appointment comes as education providers increasingly look beyond traditional qualifications to develop programmes focused on employability, practical skills and changing workforce requirements.

For Adhesive, the UNSW College mandate expands its work in the education and skills space while providing an opportunity to apply AI-informed communications to a major education launch.
