Abhilasha Gupta has joined Vedanta Group as Head of External Communications.
She announced the development through a LinkedIn post, stating that she is looking forward to shaping the company's external narrative across its portfolio of businesses following the completion of one of India's largest corporate demergers.
Sharing her thoughts on the new role, Gupta said that the opportunity comes at a time when the energy and minerals sector is witnessing significant change, driven by increasing focus on resource security, sustainability and the energy transition.
Prior to joining Vedanta Group, Gupta served as Global Head of Corporate Communications & Public Affairs at Tech Mahindra, where she spent more than eight years. Before that, she was associated with The PRactice as PR & Business Development Manager for the Technology Vertical.
Earlier in her career, she worked as Senior Executive, Corporate Communications at HCL Technologies, handling corporate and strategic communications. She has also volunteered as a teacher with Make A Difference.
