Corporate affairs professional Nick Creevey has launched Hume Strategies, a Sydney-based strategic communications consultancy focused on helping organisations navigate reputation, public policy, regulatory engagement, and high-stakes communications.
The new firm will advise clients across corporate communications, media relations, government engagement, regulatory affairs, executive positioning, and crisis and issues management. Hume Strategies will also support organisations in developing long-term reputation strategies while providing rapid-response counsel during complex or sensitive situations.
Creevey brings nearly two decades of experience in strategic communications across government, financial services, and the corporate sector. Most recently, he served as Head of External Communications at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), where he led external communications for Australia's corporate, financial markets, and consumer credit regulator.
Before joining ASIC, Creevey held senior communications roles at global fintech company Airwallex, worked within the Prime Minister's Press Office, and spent several years at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, building expertise in financial services communications, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement.
The launch of Hume Strategies reflects growing demand for specialist advisory firms capable of supporting businesses and executives through an increasingly complex regulatory, political, and media landscape. With heightened scrutiny of corporate governance, financial regulation, and reputation risk, organisations are increasingly seeking strategic counsel that combines public affairs expertise with crisis preparedness and executive communications.
Based in Sydney, Hume Strategies will work with organisations seeking integrated communications support across media, government, regulatory, and corporate affairs.
