Compass Communications has been appointed as the official communications partner for Guwahati based not profit Foundation for Culture, Arts and Literature (FOCAL).

To kick off the partnership, one of the standout events that FOCAL organise is the Dibrugarh University International Literature Festival (DUILF) in collaboration with Dibrugarh University. The festival, which has just finished its third edition, has steadily emerged as a significant platform connecting global literary voices with the cultural imagination of Northeast India.

The team at Compass helped to promote the four-day celebration of literature, ideas and cultural dialogue. DUILF featured over 150 writers, poets and thinkers from 25 countries, including internationally acclaimed voices such as Ann Morgan, Maria Reimondez; film director Jahnu Barua, ex-Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane, former Foreign Secretary Krishnan Srinivasan, amongst others. The festival attracted nearly 12,000 literary enthusiasts thus continuing the momentum built over previous editions.

Speaking on the partnership, Rahul Jain, Curator and Chief Coordinator, DUILF, said, “DUILF has grown into a meaningful cultural platform that brings global literary conversations to the Northeast, especially for young readers and students. We were delighted to collaborate with Compass Communications to further strengthen DUILF’s voice and reach and now look forward to working with them on our numerous initiatives for the Foundation.”

Rohan Srinivasan, Co-Founder, Compass Communications, added, “DUILF was an important cultural event that places Northeast India firmly on the global literary map and we were glad to be part of it. We are now excited to partner with the FOCAL team and look forward to amplifying their numerous initiatives and events.”
