DGA Group, an expert-led global advisory firm, has appointed Prem Kumar as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), completing the firm’s planned leadership transition.
Kumar succeeds Edward Reilly, who transitions to Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors after serving as DGA Group’s founding CEO and leading the firm’s creation, launch, and strategic build-out since 2021.
Previously, Kumar served as President of DGA Group and led the firm’s Middle East & North Africa practice. Based in New York City, he brings more than 25 years of experience advising clients on geopolitical and macroeconomic risk, government relations, and investment opportunities at the nexus of policy and markets. He serves on DGA’s global Executive Committee and has played a central role in the firm’s growth and global expansion.
Kumar joined Albright Stonebridge Group in 2015 and was part of the leadership team that established DGA Group at its founding in 2021. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Senior Director for the Middle East and North Africa on the National Security Council staff at the White House, where he oversaw U.S. policy toward the region. Earlier in his career, he was a diplomat with the U.S. State Department, serving in the Middle East, in Washington, at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, and as a visiting fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. Before entering public service, he was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley in New York. Kumar was educated at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the London School of Economics.
“Prem has played a central role in shaping DGA into the organization it is today, and he has the full confidence of the Board, of me personally, and of colleagues across the firm as he leads it into the next chapter,” said Reilly.
Kumar added, “It is a privilege to step into this role at such an important moment. In an environment where global policy and communications are deeply interconnected and the stakes are increasingly high, what we do as a firm is more important than ever. We will continue building the integrated capabilities, high-value relationships, and global reach required to help leaders navigate complexity with clarity and conviction.”
